Jonathan Smith

Jonathan and his wife, Denyse, have been in full-time ministry since 1993. After receiving his church ministries degree at Trinity Baptist College, Jonathan spent nine years as a youth pastor and another four years as an associate pastor in Ohio.

In the summer of 2008, the Smiths began a Bible study in their home. That weekly gathering eventually outgrew their home and moved to the back dining room of what was the Mill Restaurant at Buehlers. It was during this time that they were challenged to plant a church in Delaware. Jonathan also serves as the volunteer fire chaplain for the city of Delaware.

While Pastor Jonathan leads Berachah, Denyse teaches kindergarten and assists her husband. Jonathan and Denyse have two children, Alexis and Mitchell.
